Refusal of Warranty Service

Oakley - Refusal of Warranty Service
Original review Oct 20, 2023
Oakley refused to honor my warranty after the lenses popped out of the frame. Because they had discontinued the model, they offered to sell me another pair, at a price higher than I could see on their site. When I refused and complained, they decided that they were not going to honor the warranty and suggested I go to Lenscrafters.

DO NOT fall for custom orders!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Oakley is the only company that I know of that routinely hides the fact that if you change a piece of the sunglasses, they regard it as a custom order and they will not honor returns. I found their sunglasses to be subpar. BUYER BEWARE!

Fixture sale blunder

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I went to the middlebury retailer months ago and reserved a fixture, tried to pay and was told i couldn't until the glasses were removed from the case, they took my info and assured me i would receive a call as soon as it was available, went in today and the fixture is there sold to someone else and little is done to find my info. I am angry and frustrated and was assured it was mine, it sits there and i can load it up anytime, i was just waiting for the call. Please refund the buyer for the oakley case and sell it to me as promised, it is not my fault that a "previous employee was incompetent" please contact me with resolution asap!!!

Worst Customer Service Ever!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
What the heck happened to Oakley?! Ive owned so many pairs of their glasses and the customer service Im dealing with right now is ridiculous! No one knows what theyre doing and they are being very passive aggressive with responses. Thing is, I decided to do it through Oakley.com instead of another online company and its been a disaster. Now Im getting a delayed shipping. Tomorrow, I will order my glasses from the other company and cancel my order with Oakley. So sad. Dont waste your time with this company. Dont even try to call customer service. They will put you through all types of prompts and then you get someone that doesnt know what they are doing. More reviews coming for this terrible company!

Poor customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am so very disappointment in the notable decline of customer service as of late. The Customer Service Reps (CSRs) that I spoke with on the phone and the second that I chatted with this morning was completely unwilling to assist me.

We have been loyal to the Oakley brand because of their historically wonderful costumer service. I ordered a pair of very expensive sunglasses for my husband at 8:43 PM EST. The very next morning, I realized that I ordered the wrong sunglasses. I immediately reached out to Oakley.

Without even attempting to try to assist me, I was simply told, " We can't help you and no returns because your glasses were "custom"." First off, these glasses were clearly not custom if they were able to ship them within 10 hours of which most of those hours were overnight. The sunglasses that I ordered were not engraved or anything that could not be returned, if Oakley truly want to help; as we order replacement parts all the time when we break our sunglasses so I know it is just a matter of disassembling the glasses. After speaking to someone on the phone, and chatting with the CSR (Both negative experiences), I decided to email at Oakley at the instruction of the CSR that I spoke with on the phone. I received an email stating "We are currently answering emails within 2 business days." That was super shady, along with the fact that the notice of shipping was email after I spoke with CRS #1.

I fully admit that this was my mistake, but Oakley could have at least attempted to assist me provided the short time between ordering and "Supposedly Shipping." Also, I was told by the CSR that my item had not yet been shipped, so I am also confused on why I would have received an email stating that my order had shipped?

I am so disappointed that Oakley failed to even assist a faithful customer in a minor way so that I could re-order an even more expensive pair of sunglasses. I will be spending my money at Prada going forward for sunglasses

Poor to Non-Existent Customer NO Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was told by a retail store to send my Half Jacket XL back to Oakley for the lenses chipping. Apparently thats NOT the protocol for Oakley. After TWO calls to Oakley. The first CSR hung up on me. The second actually tried to help. But couldnt. Due to the fact the system is set so you CANT talk to anyone about warranty claims or defects. You CAN however talk to someone to place orders. Then you have to set up a profile and PROVE you bought your item. Receipt required. Take photos of your issues. And now Im WAITING to hear what they say. THEY HAVE MY SUNGLASSES!!!!! This is going to get interesting.

Denied warranty claim

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I received a pair of their high end glasses as a gift. There was a scratch on the lens coming right out of the box making them unusable. My warranty claim was denied and my subsequent inquiry was politely told to pound sand. Poor to non-existent customer service. Avoid this brand like the plague

Mistake on Oakley store

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought several sunglasses and lenses in KY the last month on a trip, I haven't with me the sunglasses which I was needed to change their lenses so I asked for help in the store to recognize the model of them. They were pretty sure of the model and gave me lenses for a jawbreaker (which was correct), radarlock (also correct) and half jacket... When I got back home, I tried them and oh surprise!!! wasn't a halfjcket! it's a fast jacket!!!

I sent an email to Oakley.com and they said, sorry... we just attend online shops not in-store. so my only option is to travel back to Kentucky and go to the store to get some kind of warranty for their mistake!?

Is amazing the bad customer service they have, and how easy is for them to send you directly to ***

Oakley was my fav brand until today....

The email....

"Thank you for contacting Oakley. I'm sorry to hear that your in-store order is not working out.

However, you have reached Oakley.com Customer Care. We are not able to accept returns on items placed outside of Oakley.com. We would recommend contacting the original retailer to determine if a return is possible."

Incomplete address on package so never delivered and sent back by post office. So I realized after checking the tracking app that the package had only partial address with no street name. So I called Oakley Cusomer service to update the full address and still waiting over 10 days now. Hopefully it will be here soon.
